Raffaella Nigro is Full Professor of International Law at the Department of Law, Economics and Sociology (Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza, Economia e Sociologia, DIGES) of the University Magna Græcia of Catanzaro, and a member of the Doctoral Committee of the PhD programme of National Interest in ‘Peace Studies’ (Sapienza University of Rome). Her current research interests and publications centre around human rights, functional immunity, international terrorism and international criminal justice. Among other publications, she is the author of two monographs: La definizione di terrorismo nel diritto internazionale (Editoriale Scientifica, 2013) and Le immunità giurisdizionali dello Stato e dei suoi organi e l’evoluzione della sovranità nel diritto internazionale (Wolters Kluwer/Cedam, 2018).

Emma Luce Scali is Lecturer in International Law and Human Rights at the Department of Law of the University of Manchester, and a member of the Manchester Centre for International Law (MILC). Her main research interests centre around sovereign financing/debt, human rights (particularly economic and social rights) and the global economic order. Among other publications, she is the author of Sovereign Debt and Socio-Economic Rights Beyond Crisis: The Neoliberalisation of International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2022). Since 2022, she has been a consultant to the UN Independent Expert on Foreign Debt and Human Rights, and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
